The Friends First Stewardship Ethical Fund, sold in Ireland since 1997, is a global equity, responsible investment strategy.
What is Ethical Investing?
Investment priorities are changing. More people are not only concerned with the returns they can make on their savings, but also what companies do with the money they invest.
The Friends First Stewardship Fund invests in a range of international equities and offers your clients the opportunity to make a positive contribution to society as well as investing for profit. The fund supports positive activities by seeking to identify companies that make a positive contribution to society and consciously avoids companies engaged in negative activities.
At Friends First we also give you access to a variety of fund managers so that you get the benefit of a range of investment management approaches. BMO Global Asset Management, the asset management arm of Bank of Montreal (BMO), one of Canada’s largest banks, manages the Stewardship Ethical Fund. Their expertise extends across the full range of asset classes including ethical investing.
The Stewardship Ethical Fund is available as a standalone fund option, which offers ethical screening without sacrificing returns. With a European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) rating of 5 the fund is suited to long-term investors pursuing the returns available from equities but who wish to invest in a socially responsible manner.
The Stewardship Ethical Fund is available across the Friends First suite of Pensions, Approved Retirement Funds (ARFs), Approved Minimum Retirement Funds (AMRFs), Savings and Investment products.
