Friends First and St Tiernan’s Cycling Club recently launched the 2016 Friends First Laragh Classic bringing top level road racing to Wicklow on Sunday, September 11th, 2016.
The exciting race, now in its 4th year, sees participants weaving through the heart of the Garden County. The dramatic 24km circuit presents riders with challenging climbs, harsh road surfaces and a fast-paced descent through the stunning village of Laragh. As the closing race of the domestic cycling season, the Friends First Laragh Classic presents a last chance for riders to try and get an elusive result.
With four race categories on the day, racing is open to seniors, men, ladies and juniors. For the second year running the race will incorporate the Leinster championships. However all races are open to non-Leinster riders. Each race will be restricted to 60 riders and entries are now open online. Further information on the Friends First Laragh Classic is available on the St. Tiernan’s Cycling Club website.
