4 & 8 weeks deferred period added to income protection plans
To give you even more options to offer your client on our award winning income protection plans, we have added an option to choose earlier deferred periods of 4 or 8 weeks.
This means your clients can choose:
- 4, 8, 13, 26 or 52 weeks on individual income protection
- 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 months on executive income protection.
Meanwhile, many of the underwriting questions have been re-engineered to aid disclosure and to generate more accurate answers as a way of driving up automatic acceptance rates.
Important items to note during the transition
Decide if you want to input new cases before the 30th June (subject to the ‘old’ process) or wait until after the 30th to avail of the new improvements, depending on you and your clients’ needs.
Please note these important timelines:
- Applications completed on the basis of the old underwriting questions must be submitted before 5pm on 30th June 2017.
- Partially completed online applications saved on BrokerFirst must be submitted before 5pm on 30th June 2017 or they will have to be re-input.
- Saved applications which have not been submitted by the 30th June 2017 will be deleted.
