Friends First and St. Tiernan’s Cycling Club recently launched the 2018 Friends First Laragh Classic programme, one of Ireland’s premier road races. Friends First continue to support this grass roots sport and endeavour to support activities and events that are consistent with our community development objectives. We believe sporting activities make a positive contribution to the community. Sports programmes, clubs and activities introduced by Friends First employees in particular occupy a place of core importance.

Now in its 6th year, the Laragh Classic has established itself as a tough event. The 2018 race which took place on September 1st was a tremendous success which, as always, produced a worthy winner, Dermot Trulock. In the women’s classic Hannah Gruber-Stadler, a visiting Austrian rider set to take on Rás na mBan next week, won the day.
