Cabinteely FC are delighted to announce an enhanced sponsorship deal with Friends First for the 2017/2018 season. The sponsorship includes branding on the back of the jerseys for our senior team who play in the League of Ireland as well as pitch side advertising in Stradbrook, where the team plays its home matches.
Friends First have been helping their customers look after their life protection, pension and investment needs for over 180 years and are one of Ireland’s most established life assurance companies with a reputation for reliability, efficiency and commitment to their customers.
This is the 3rd season that Friends First have shown great commitment to Cabinteely FC, having also sponsored the club in both of our previous seasons in the League of Ireland and having had their branding on our jersey sleeves for the 2016 SSE Airtricity League season.

Brian O’Neill, Marketing Director of Friends First said “Friends First are delighted to not only continue their support of Cabinteely FC but to strengthen and deepen this relationship. The Club is at a pivotal and historic time in its development and we are very excited to be involved with it and to support such an enthusiastic and developing local club. We wish players, supporters and everyone involved the very best for the challenge ahead.”
Speaking on the sponsorship, Cabinteely FC chairman Larry Bass said “We are delighted to be partnering with Friends First again this season. They have been great sponsors of not only our club, but also to a number of community initiatives in our area. This is the third season running that they have sponsored us so it is great to have them on the back of the jersey. We look forward to what will hopefully be a long partnership with them.”
Cabinteely FC was the first team from the Borough of Dun Laoghaire to play at League of Ireland level and it means that players now have a pathway right through to senior football. The Club is now the largest football club in the country by player numbers with 55 teams including a mixture of school-boy and school-girl teams, a special needs team and a ladies team as well as the senior teams. We are as always very proud of our tradition as a community club.
