Fund Risk
Your attitude to risk is one of the main factors in deciding the type of investor you are. With a wide range of investment options from low to medium to high risk, Friends First offers every investor the opportunity to build an investment portfolio that meets their needs and matches their appetite for risk and reward.
We've made it easy for you match our funds to your investor profile by classifying them into 7 broad risk categories.
In classifying our funds we have looked at two things to arrive at a single measure of risk:
How volatile the fund is
This is how sharply the fund's value is likely to increase or decrease over a period of time (that is how bumpy or smooth the change in value is likely to be).
How diverse the fund is
This is how many different asset types and economic regions the fund invests in, as well as the actual number of individual investments it holds.
Generally speaking the higher the rating, the higher the risk, but also the higher the potential returns.
Your financial adviser can answer your questions about the right investment choices for you.
