Friends First Finance

In 2009 Friends First announced, with regret, the closure of its asset finance division, Friends First Finance.

The division was established in 1997 and had developed a strong presence in the retail lending market. However, the closure decision followed a strategic review of the division, which had been significantly affected by the global credit crisis and downturn in the Irish economy.

The decision to phase out this division is consistent with the strategy of Friends First’s parent, Eureko, to concentrate on its core insurance business.

As a leading provider of protection, pensions and investment products in the Irish market, Friends First will continue to focus on developing its business in these sectors.
