Friends First has announced with regret that it is closing the Group’s asset finance division, Friends First Finance.

This decision follows a strategic review of the division, which has been significantly impacted by the global credit crunch and the downturn in the Irish economy. The division was established in 1997 and developed a strong presence in the retail lending market.

The decision to phase out this business is consistent with the strategy of Friends First’s parent, Eureko, to focus on its core business of insurance activities throughout Europe.

Friends First is a leading provider of protection, pensions and investment products in the Irish market and the company will continue to focus on developing its core business in these markets.

Friends First Finance will continue to manage the existing loan portfolio and to help you with any queries you may have in relation to your outstanding loan.
